His Books of Blood in the 1980s established him as a premier master of the horror narrative, on an equal level or even surpassing Stephen King, who said of him;
I have seen the future of horror, his name is Clive Barker.
Stephen King
Like King, Barker’s works of horror have been adopted and adapted for movies, his stories becoming the basis for the Hellraiser and Candyman series and many more. Beyond his stories being used as source material, Barker has worked as screenwriter, producer, actor and director in the film world.
As with Stephen King, many of Clive’s fans have found him through enjo
So some people ( a few) may know that 2016 has been a year of crap for me. Seriously. This year cannot be over soon enough. There's been big issues that I've touched on here and there, most notably my father having a major operation ( again), and my mother being diagnosed with a chronic illness that left her unable to take care of him post-op. It worried the crap out of me, and my anxiety got out of control, but since I hate talking about it to anyone it just sits in me and gets worse.
But on top of that, it was the little things.
Negative: My tablet stopped working. Which meant I had to buy another tablet. Expensive.
Upside to this: None.

*Stares at you for a moment* .... No

I crack my knuckles when I'm angry
5) What is your favorite food?
Food is of little importance to me. I eat to survive not for pleasure.
6) What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Don't eat the stuff.
7) Are you a virgin?
I don't have time for that crap. Physical and emotional attachments are a weakness. A distraction that can be used against you. (So that's a yes)
8) Have you killed anyone?
Yes. Many many people. Some I got paid for. Some I did for free. Some I ki

No new drawings...an explanation.
The thing about getting better after your world falls apart... is that things don't come back in a predictable order; you get given bits and pieces at random, fragments of yourself here and there, you know it will all come together eventually, but you don't get a say in whats dropped back when.
I've got a lot back, thankfully. Not all, but I can function, leave the house, do the daily jobs, not want to die, that kind of thing :)
The drawing thing has been tricky though. Drawing has been such a huge part of my life, and that was taken away along with everything else I loved by the mental illness.
It hasn't come back fully yet.

No, it's not Dante...
Okaaaay...I rarely write rants and stuff, but for my own sanity I have to do this now. It's happening more and more lately and it's just hard for me to try to ignore it and probably cuz of all stress and meds this is affecting me way more than it should.
I don't know how are you dealing with it, or how much it affects you when/if you get comments like this, but every time someone writes under my art that my character looks like this and that person/character I just feel like flipping over. I don't find it a compliment if someone comments that my character looks like million others, especially when I never in my life heard of them or it wasn'

No more tincek-marincek
Title sounds horrible, huh? But let me explain on why I put it and about everything what has been going on lately. I wasn't sharing much about it lately, cause it was kinda my "secret" project for months...but now it's time to reveal it.
You're probably now wondering who is this Valentina Remenar who's typing all of this and what happened to tincek-marincek. Well... I AM tincek-marincek. Well...Tincek, to be honest. I've made this account 7 years ago, with my sister Marina. We wanted to share account and post our works and collaborations. However, for the last a couple of years it was only me, Valentina, who's been posting drawings here (may
Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.
--Anais Nin
I postpone death by living, by suffering, by error, by risking, by giving, by losing.

There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.

Life is truly known only to those who suffer, lose, endure adv
